The ARTful Shirt Design

Often the original detail is enough to create the Designer’s garment.

I found very interesting and inspiring different types of fabric manipulation.

The possibilities for three-dimensional creation are endless.

Starting from the simplest piece of cloth and a threaded needle – surprising techniques will materialized.

The SEWing become ART.

The Designer's Sketch

This classic model is decorated with “Pressed Quilting” technique.

The “Quilting” is stitching that fastens some layers of fabric – into design form.

The “Pressed Quilting” is the variation of “Quilting“. It is a pattern, created from the  folded stripes of cloth that appears to weave underneath itself.

Pressed Quilting“.

Pressed Quilting”

The “Argento” luxury 2-ply soft and silky cotton from Canclini in pretty pastels, would be the perfect choice for this particular Design.

"Argento" extra fine fabric.

In Love with Style

Fashion is sometimes dismissed as shallow or frivolous, but aside from its role as a global economic force, it has another important part to play: it is a mood-changer, an empowerer, a supporter of woman.

It’s allow us to have fun, to express ourselves and to show our appreciation for trends and love of style.

Quality over Quantity

I’m so delighted to assist the return of the trend for Made-to-Measure handcrafted products.

A new generation of consumers is looking for customized, well-made clothes with individuality.

The Custom-made garments well worth the cost: first, because of their superior materials (non available in mass-production of “pronto-moda”) and skillful construction. Moreover, their classic style is Timeless.

This means fever clothes, but of better quality.

Couture clothes are often seen as a luxury, but are actually worth every cent.

The truly extravagant, from other hand, is to consume cheap items and discard them after a few times.

…Historically, couture has always done well in times of recession ( let’s look to the 1930’s Great Depression Era), showing that “…whilst fashion inextricably bound up with culture, the way it influences and is influenced by the History , what on the surface seems completely illogical, is in fact the most rational thing in the World.”

In these difficult modern times, knowledgeable consumers would rather buy one outfit a year, but still commission investment pieces and appreciate the amount of labor and skill that goes into the manufacture of Custom apparel. “Needless to say they can choose what really suits and flatters their physique and can creatively customize their wardrobes by building up useful unique pieces…to wear with pride”.

There are dozen…

There are dozens of ways in which elements of a man’s shirt have been adapted to women’s blouses. A woman might find a dress-shirt collar designed for a tie on a pleated, ruffled and darted blouse…Or a woman can simply wear a man’s shirt, as many have done and everyone agrees looks wonderful.
